Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders
The Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders is today an iconic economic conference dedicated to promoting the Mediterranean, its key economic sectors and cultural values on a global level. Since its debut, MedaWeek Barcelona has served as a reference point for voicing the interests of the private sector in the socioeconomic development of the region.
This year, its 13th edition will take place from the 20th to 22nd November at the Casa Llotja de Mar, in Barcelona (Spain). MedaWeek Barcelona 2019 is jointly organised by the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), the Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) and other prominent Euro-Mediterranean organisations.
The event is co-funded by Camara de España and European Regional Development Fund.
In line with this year’s claim “A new dawn for the Mediterranean”, MedaWeek Barcelona 2019 will address regional priorities such as the importance of the African continent for the Mediterranean region, the alternatives to Western banking systems and the sustainable development needs in the region, among others.
