In parallel with the expansion in crude oil production, Caspian oil exports are witnessing significant growth. Although existing infrastructure capacity in Azerbaijan is sufficiently large enough to absorb any additional Azeri exports in the future, the same may not be the case for Kazakhstan, especially after 2020. Part I of this report investigates this by looking into current and future oil export potential and infrastructure developments in these countries. Part II of this analysis investigates whether there is a need for a Turkish Strait bypass pipeline project.
