This report tries to answer the request of the Executive Committee and contains a brief overview of 26 gas transmission companies selected by their significance in the Mediterranean Region. The analysis of these companies has been made on the bases of a list of 49 elements grouped in 5 categories: structure and ownership, markets where they operate, technical features of the transmission system, mode of operation and key financial aspects.
