OME webinar series on “the role of energy storage in renewables integration and energy transition”
Held on 17 March 2023, the webinar was organised within the framework of the Energy Transition, Sustainability and Climate Change Committee activities, and restricted to OME members.
The webinar was, introduced by an overview by OME team about energy storage technologies, their deployment status and perspectives both at global level and in the Mediterranean region, also in relation to policy objectives to 2030 and 2050 horizons, and ongoing market evolution including auctioned capacity.
Specific experiences on France and Morocco, led by EDF and ONEE, respectively, were presented.
After the three presentations, a Q&A session involving all participants took place. The next webinar of the Energy Transition, Sustainability and Climate Change Committee is planned in June and will tackle electric mobility systems in the Mediterranean.
