Investment Needs and Financing of Infrastructure Committee meeting
The OME Investment Needs and Financing of Infrastructure Committee met today 17 May 2023 in Rome, kindly hosted by Edison, to identify new guidelines as part of the reorientation process of the OMEC (new OME) committees with a particular focus on streams and actions needed to implement energy projects to ensure sustainability, security, and energy competitiveness at the regional level. The Mediterranean region offers unique opportunities to build a new energy model that can best interpret the challenges of the energy transition. In this context, international financing is essential to meet climate goals while guaranteeing security of supply. Cooperation between the energy industry and international financial institutions is functional in moving from theory to practice and turn projects into reality.
