Mid-term meeting of the DNICast project and second End-User workshop
The consortium of DNICast (Direct Normal Irradiance Nowcasting methods for optimized operation of concentrating solar technologies), coordinated by OME, met in Munich from November 30th until December 2nd for the mid-term meeting of the project.
During the three day gathering, the meeting of the Advisory Board also took place. On the final day, a workshop on “Application of Observations and Forecasts of Vertical Profiles of Aerosols in the Atmospheric Surface Boundary Layer in Optimizing Concentrated Solar Energy Power Plant Operations” was organized within the framework of WP5 activities. This workshop brought together scientists and practitioners to discuss measurements and forecasts of aerosol vertical profiles, identify solutions to overcome current limitations, by linking together the scientific community with solar industry. All meetings were hosted by DLR.
