THE EURO-MED ENERGY CONTEXT: new interconnections for natural gas and hydrogen
On 14 October 2022, during Bologna Fiere Water and Energy (BFWE) Expo-forum (12-14 October), in Bologna, Italy, the OME jointly organized with WEC Italy (the Italian National Committee of the World Energy Council) a workshop on the theme “the Euro-Med energy context: new interconnections for natural gas and hydrogen”.
The workshop gave an opportunity to deepen with representatives of the WEC National Committees of the Mediterranean, OME Members, and national and international stakeholders, the potential and the contribution that the two energy vectors that are LNG and hydrogen, in a context of a greater Mediterranean energy cooperation, can give to the increasingly challenging Energy Trilemma: balancing the safety, competitiveness and sustainability of the Basin’s energy needs.
OME Chairman, Lapo Pistelli, and OME General Director, Houda Ben Jannet Allal, respectively opened and closed the event.
